Ode to Purple.

Writer's picture: Nihar DixitNihar Dixit

I like the colour purple,

as lilacs and violet

Blooms across your skin,

Covered the warrior, and within.

Like a big benevolent lotus,

The magic of dawn and dusk.

Your eyes were sparkling

with selflessness and trust.

A new friendship that would

last forever was born.

I'll think of you,

as sure as night and morn.

She too has given birth.

Reflected within the child’s face,

Gifts with which the child is graced.

She gathers to her humbled breast

A tireless love that knows no rest.
